Questions

1. In Drawing - Volume 3，the setting direction of the trap structure in page 18 and page 88 is different, please to be clarified.
2. In page TS1-1, the item 1.2, section 1 TEMPORARY COFFERDAM AND DE-WATERING WORKS, Technical Specifications, 1.2. RIVER DIVERSION SCHEME 1.2.1 Engineer’s Plan for River Diversion Works The Engineer has studied and prepared the Engineer’s contemplated plan for the river diversion during the construction as shown on the Drawings (1).Temporary diversion scheme: The cofferdams (temporary structures) will be provided at locations, with dimensions shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer, for the construction of the weir and other related facilities After completion of the weir and other related structures, these facilities will be removed as instructed by the Engineer. Please offer the contemplated plan.
3. Pls kindly clarify for the following : Reviewing of the Excel version of the BoQ in the attachement and the PDF BoQ in bidding forms of the bidding documents , there is difference: In the summary page of the Excel version BoQ, Item B Profit(10%xA); Item F Tax 2% of A, which not indicated in the summary page of BoQ in Section 4 bidding forms of the bidding documents. Pls. confirm which version shall we use.


Response

1. This is the design drawing and not the shop drawings/work drawing. If the contractor wants to work, the contractor should make the shop drawing/work drawing based on the site condition and referring to the design drawing. If the design drawing is not applicable, the contractor should make the correct drawing.
2. This item work is lump sum. The contractor should submit the drawing to cover the construction. It will not be made or designed by the owner. It depends on the site condition.
3. Kindly use the BoQ in Section IV - Bidding Forms of Bidding Documents. The updated BoQ in excel is attached.
