The Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE) is the specialized service of the State of Cabo Verde, which is responsible for the fiduciary management of projects with external funding, namely the financial management and supply management of strategic projects or projects with a significant impact on their continuation of the attributions carried out by the Ministry of Finance.
The UGPE works directly under the Ministry of Finance and it is through financial agreements with external partners that it encourages and implements government reforms with a significant impact on the country’s economy. Among the priority areas (projects) are: Digital Economy, Energy, Infrastructure, Social Inclusion, Tourism, Education, Statistics, Access to Financing for MSE’s and Fiscal Management of State-owned Companies. We intend this website to be useful to all interested parties and, above all, to be a communication tool, promotion of good management, and serve to establish a bridge with funders, public and private entities and other stakeholders in the proper execution and implementation of the projects under our responsibility.
